Sometimes, places located hundreds or even thousands of kilometers apart on the globe may share similar stories, despite differences in their timelines. "Interconnection" is a large-scale wall sculpture designed to be a simple yet effective narrative piece that highlights its context. The piece was created through a process of bending, shaping, and welding metal. It consists of two separate pieces that are installed together to form the complete shape.
The artwork was inspired by three countries: Cyprus, Ireland, and Korea. Despite being separated for decades, these countries share a common story of division. The sculpture features the shapes of the borders of these three countries, which have separated cities, cultures, and neighbors, coming together to form a unified shape.
